Summer time is pool time, but before jumping in, everyone should know how to stay safe. That’s why the Wellington Aquatics Complex is hosting “Make a SPLASH” (Safety and Prevention Leaves All Swimmers Happy) on Saturday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is free to the public. The Wellington Aquatics Complex is located at 12072 W. Forest Hill Blvd. Pediatric residents from Palms West Hospital and first responders from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will be on-hand to discuss water safety. Wellington lifeguards and fire-rescue personnel will also demonstrate a near-drowning scenario. For more info., visit www.wellingtonfl.gov.
