Frontier Elementary School students won six awards at the Palm Beach County Science & Mathematics Fair held May 12-13 at the South Florida Fairgrounds Expo Center.
In the science category, second grader Wyatt Ortlip won third place, and fourth graders Weston Clark and Brandon Steiert earned honorable mentions.
In the mathematics category, third grader Michael Allen was awarded second place.
In the overall STEM environmental green award category, third grader Colton Hernan won second place overall, and Ortlip took third place overall.
“This is Frontier’s first year as an Environmental & Animal Science Academy Choice School, and I am thrilled that two of our students placed in the overall environmental category,” said Molly Harding, Frontier’s science fair coordinator. “We hope the students at Frontier will become lifelong environmentalists and advocates for all animals.”
