The Renaissance Charter School at Palms West has a new principal, Steve Epstein, who is replacing the retiring Sharon Brannon.
Epstein is a long-time member of the Charter Schools USA family. He most recently successfully raised Woodmont Charter School by two letter grades, and prior to that was the founding principal of Henderson Hammock Charter School.
He has served in multiple leadership and teaching positions over a 19-year career in education.
Epstein received an associate’s degree in education from Palm Beach Community College. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education and master’s degree in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic University.
“Mr. Epstein has proven time and time again that strong leadership can accomplish great things,” Chief Academic Officer Sherry Hage said. “His unwavering commitment to excellence, along with his outgoing and inclusive personality, brings every student, staff member and teacher to their highest level of greatness.”
The Renaissance Charter School at Palms West is part of the Charter Schools USA Inc. family of schools.
The school is accredited by AdvancED and is governed by Renaissance Charter School Inc., which has been operating a network of the highest performing charter schools in Florida for more than a decade.
