The Loxahatchee Groves Town Council on Tuesday recognized Quasi Modo, a local dog with shortened vertebra, for winning first place recently in the 2015 “World’s Ugliest Dog” contest held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, Calif. Quasi is shown here with owners Mike Carroll and Dr. Virginia Sayre, and Mayor Dave Browning. Sayre, a veterinarian, rescued and adopted Quasi 10 years ago.
