On Sunday, Oct. 4, the Acreage Green Market will be supporting resident Debbie Murphy who had a stroke while vacationing in Las Vegas. She is currently in the hospital and unable to travel home.
The stroke attacked the right hemisphere of her brain, which has left her partially paralyzed. Her recovery will be a long and difficult road. Murphy is a single mother to five children, ranging in age from 4 to 22. The Acreage Green Market, which takes place at Acreage Community Park, will be collecting Publix gift card donations to help feed the children. The collection will take place Sunday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A GoFundMe account was created to help the family. It can be found at www.gofundme.com/debbiemurphystroke.
