Wednesday, Sept. 30 was the Florida’s first official “Dads Take Your Child to School Day.” Wellington Elementary School was proud to be one of the schools participating in the initiative. The purpose of the new initiative was to encourage fathers, stepfathers, uncles and other male role models to bring their children to school, because it has been proven that parental involvement in a child’s education plays a crucial role in success at school.
