New Horizons Elementary School recently hosted its schoolwide spelling bee. There were 16 participants, each representing their third, fourth or fifth grade classroom. The winners, fifth graders Franchesca Cruz and Nirmala Niraine, will go on to compete at the district spelling bee in January.
