Palm Beach County Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon recently announced the official launch of her office’s Instagram account (@TaxPBC).
The Tax Collector’s Office added the Instagram account to share photos and videos that visually depict a story, to offer public service reporting, to share access to its “In the Driver’s Seat” app for driver study tools and safety tips, as well as to showcase that first license milestone for other Instagram members to share their experiences.
The Instagram account presents an opportunity to inspire and capture beautiful and unusual driving destinations within Palm Beach County. Another purpose is to showcase the good works of the local charities that receive Tax Collector’s Office employee “Dress Down” contributions and to utilize infographics to highlight customer service experiences.
The Instagram account is also an opportunity to connect with new residents and increase awareness of the Tourist Development Tax by sharing the beauty of Palm Beach County.
The recent announcement is the next step in the agency’s plan to utilize social media and technology to interact with residents and visitors about its services, operations and Palm Beach County. Instagram complements the office’s existing social media presence on Twitter and LinkedIn.
