The YWCA of Palm Beach County will continue its monthly “Brown Bag Lunch” series on Thursday, Jan. 28 at noon at the YWCA Corporate Office (1016 North Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach). This month’s topic is alimony reform in Florida, presented by attorney Robert M.W. Shalhoub.
A divorce lawyer with more than 37 years of experience, Shalhoub was born and raised in West Palm Beach. After graduating from John I. Leonard High School, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Alabama.
In addition to his thriving law practice, Shalhoub is a lecturer and author on Florida child custody and visitation law and parental alienation syndrome, an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College and the current mayor of the Town of Lake Clarke Shores, where he has served on the town council since 1991.
Shalhoub has been married to his wife, Bernadette, who is a member of the YWCA Board of Directors, for 37 years. They have two children.
There is no charge to attend, but space is limited. Feel free to bring lunch with you; the YWCA will provide beverages and dessert.
If you would like to attend, RSVP to Carol Henry at (561) 640-0050, ext. 134, or chenry@ywcapbc.org.
