The Wellington Aquatics Complex hosted “Make a SPLASH” (Safety and Prevention Leaves All Swimmers Happy) on Saturday, June 4. Pediatric residents from Palms West Hospital and dermatology residents from Tru Derm Dermatology discussed the harmful effects of the hot sun. Keeping well hydrated and using sunscreen are a must. First responders from Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue were on-hand to discuss water safety. Wellington lifeguards joined PBCFR personnel to demonstrate a near-drowning scenario.
