Summer time is pool time, but before jumping in, everyone should know how to stay safe. That’s why the Wellington Aquatics Complex (12072 W. Forest Hill Boulevard) is hosting its “Make a SPLASH” (Safety and Prevention Leaves All Swimmers Happy) event on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. This event is free to the public.
Pediatric residents from Palms West Hospital and first responders from Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue will be on-hand to discuss water safety issues. Wellington lifeguards, along with Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue personnel, will demonstrate a near-drowning scenario. Multiple vendors will be on site to discuss the importance of safety in and around the water.
