Bracelets On Sale Now For Fall Festival

Bracelets are on sale now for the annual Wellington Fall Festival. This year’s event will take place Saturday, Oct 21 from 3 to 10 p.m. at Village Park (11700 Pierson Road). The new extended hours will provide families with younger children an opportunity to enjoy the fun and activities earlier in the day, while still getting their little ghouls and goblins home in time for bed. The start and end time of some attractions may vary.

Visit the Haunted Hallways (opening at 5 p.m.) if you dare, or enjoy one of the many other event attractions, including a petting zoo, pony rides, a pie-eating contest, hay rides, trick-or-treating, face painting, bounce houses, newly added laser tag, vendors and more. Twenty food trucks will be on site, with sweet and savory food and beverages for purchase.

Attendees can also enjoy live performances or participate in costume contests for prizes, with awards for each of the following age groups: under 3, ages 4 to 6, ages 7 to 10, ages 11 to 14, and 15 and older.

Unlimited all-access bracelets are required for activities and can be purchased at the Wellington Community Center (12150 W. Forest Hill Blvd) and Village Park (11700 Pierson Road). Bracelets purchased by Oct. 20 are $7 for children and $5 for adults. On the day of the event, bracelets are $10 for children and $5 for adults. Children ages 2 and under are free. Adult bracelets are only needed if the adult will accompany the child on the hayride, to play laser tag or to go through the haunted hallways.

Free shuttle service will be available from the Palm Tran bus stop located near Nordstrom at the Mall at Wellington Green beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Special thanks to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at Memorial for its support as the featured sponsor.
