On Nov. 4, Loxahatchee Groves Elementary School hosted its annual Pumpkin Chunkin contest. The teams had to build a catapult or a trebuchet and see how far their machine could throw a five-pound pumpkin. Team Ecto won the event with a chunk of 124 feet.
