It was a full house on Dec. 11 when Loretta Neff, author and founder of the EW Foundation, read Tame Your Manners and Sip Tea with Mad Hatter during her interactive story time with students at New Horizons Elementary School in Wellington. More than 200 children danced, sang and became part of the story during the presentation.
The EW Foundation is an educational nonprofit providing award-winning character education books and programs for children and youth, and fundraising opportunities to charities, missions and schools. Neff’s books, Tame Your Manners and Sip Tea with Mad Hatter, teach character education and etiquette to children, improving social skills and an appreciation for philanthropy that will serve them throughout their lives.
At the end of Neff’s presentation, all New Horizons students in attendance received a copy of Tame Your Manners, which includes clever illustrations and correlations of animal characteristics to the manners advice.
“Since 2014, EWF has benefited more than 13,000 children with its award-winning character education books and programs, and provided author visits and signed copies of Tame Your Manners and Sip Tea with Mad Hatter books to 30 academies and schools, and 17 charities,” Neff said.
