Guest soloist Greg Diaz will perform with the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches.

The Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches will welcome special guest soloist Greg Diaz for an evening of jazz with “Swing+Salsa,” a concert at the Eissey Campus Theatre in Palm Beach Gardens on Saturday, Feb. 3. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

“As a seasoned professional and compelling front man, Greg Diaz fits seamlessly into the existing talent and versatility of the Symphonic Band. Multiple soloists, vocal and instrumental, will help carry our audience to places of unexpected adventure and delight,” Symphonic Band Music Director Mark Humphreys said.

Billboard chart toppers are featured during the performance, such as “Sir Duke,” the Stevie Wonder hit honoring Duke Ellington, and “Carpenters Forever,” which is composed of six of the most popular songs from Karen and Richard Carpenter. Another featured hit is the John Williams composition “Swing, Swing, Swing” from the comedy movie 1941.

Tickets are $20 and are available by calling (561) 832-3115 or visiting www.symphonicband.org. Concert proceeds will fund scholarships and grants to local public school music programs.
