The Western Communities Chapter of the Florida Alliance for Retired Americans will meet Monday, May 7 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church (12200 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington). The business meeting begins at noon, and new members are always welcome.
At 1 p.m., Royal Palm Beach Councilman Jeff Hmara will speak about “Local Control of Government Services,” including the pros and cons of current efforts by the State of Florida to reduce the scope of local control.
