There’s a lot of learning always going on in Cathy Eckstein’s VPK class at Wellington Elementary School. The theme for this month is the earth and the sky.
Anna Menzel, the assistant in the class, had the children create a moving mobile of the earth, moon and sun. The children enjoyed learning the names of all the planets and took turns being the different planets rotating around the sun.
The class also learned a solar system song and read many books about the earth, moon and sky. To add to the learning, Mrs. Dragunat had the students create their very own rocket ships using all different shapes.
