FNGLA Golf Extravaganza Sept. 7

The Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association’s Palm Beach Chapter will hold its annual Golf Extravaganza on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Atlantic National Golf Club in Lake Worth.

The annual event gathers members and friends of the industry for an 18-hole foursome competition followed by a dinner at the clubhouse. All proceeds go to the causes FNGLA supports, such as scholarships for students in the agriculture and horticultural fields, and continuing education for professionals in the nursery and landscape industry in Palm Beach County.

“As the nation’s largest state nursery and landscape association, FNGLA represents Florida’s environmental horticulture industry, which generated $21.08 billion total output sales in 2015 and directly employed 232,000 people,” FNGLA Palm Beach President Luc Limbourg said. “Besides this being a great opportunity to mingle among fellow professionals and businesses we deal with, it allows us to fund vital educational programs for our industry.”

As Stan Kushay, vice president of agricultural banking at PNC Bank, puts it: ‘We are very proud to be the head sponsor of this fantastic event this year, enabling the members of this wonderful organization to gather and have fun, all for a good cause.”
