Rosanne Tattiās third-grade class at Wellington Elementary School dove right into science at the start of the new school year. Students explored mass and used the balance scale, then recorded the grams. By following the scientific method, they made a hypothesis as to whether the mass of bubble gum would increase, decrease or remain the same after chewing it for 3, 6 and 9 minutes; then proceeded to measure the mass of their bubble gum before and after chewing. Shown above are Macey Gunsalus, Ariella Sevilla and Gracie Price working hard studying science.
