Lion Country Safari held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 30 to celebrate the completion of the newly expanded lion habitat. The expanded enclosures, close to 5 acres each, will hold 11 lions on a rotating schedule. Lions will be visible on both sides of the road. The males and females will be kept separate until 2019, when a breeding program will be planned and keepers will anxiously await new cubs.
