Beginning Monday, June 3, Wellington will offer expanded hours at the village’s open play pickleball courts, located on the outdoor roller hockey rink at Village Park (11700 Pierson Road).
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong into a lively, competitive game for all ages and abilities.
During the summer months, courts will be available for open play Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays and Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 4 to 7 p.m.
Players are welcome to drop-in on a first come, first served basis and must bring their own paddle and balls.
Due to summer programming, pickleball courts at the Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club will not be available after Friday, May 31.
