For those who’ve been thinking about adopting a furry friend, there is no better time than right now. Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control currently has more than 100 happy, healthy, adoptable dogs, and the shelter is at maximum capacity for large-breed dogs. To encourage adoptions, ACC is waiving adoption fees for all dogs over 40 pounds. The free adoption promotion will run through May 12.
All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, and each will receive a starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet pet food. The shelter offers free dog training classes every Saturday at noon as well.
