Free Water Safety Event June 1

Summertime is pool time, but before jumping in, know how to stay safe. The Wellington Aquatics Complex (12072 W. Forest Hill Blvd.) will host “Make a SPLASH” (Safety and Prevention Leaves All Swimmers Happy) on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is free to the public.

Pediatric residents from Palms West Hospital and first responders from Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue will be there to discuss water safety issues. Wellington lifeguards and PBCFR personnel will also demonstrate a near-drowning scenario. Multiple vendors will be on site to discuss the importance of safety in and around the water.
