Dr. Larry Bush Elected PBC Medical Society President

Dr. Larry Bush

Dr. Larry Bush recently assumed the role of leadership of the Palm Beach County Medical Society as the 2020 president. Bush has practiced in the specialized field of infectious diseases in Palm Beach County since 1989.

Bush holds the academic positions of affiliated professor of medicine at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University, as well as affiliated associate professor of medicine at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Bush did his residency in internal medicine at the Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he went on to serve as chief medical resident. He completed specialty training as a fellow in infectious diseases at the Medical College of Pennsylvania before relocating to South Florida.

Bush has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed medical journal article publications, is a current associate editor of two national infectious disease journals and continues to author book chapters in medical reference books and the infectious diseases component of the American College of Physicians study program.
