Girl Scouts Kick Off Annual Cookie Season

The Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida kicked off its much-anticipated Cookie Sale Program on Thursday, Jan. 23 with two sweet new ways to celebrate young female leaders: refreshed packaging reflecting the amazing experiences cookie earnings make possible for girls and the introduction of a new lemon-flavored cookie. Sales continue until Sunday, Feb. 16.

The new cookie is Lemon-Ups, a crispy lemon cookie baked with messages inspired by Girl Scout entrepreneurs. The refreshed cookie packaging emphasizes what the cookie program is all about, and the updated images feature current Girl Scouts taking part in a diverse range of experiences.

More than 6,000 Girl Scouts in South Florida participate in the Cookie Sale Program each year, generating more than $6 million in sales. All of the net revenue raised stays within the six-county council area.
