Ruth Hogan-Poulsen of Bespoke Farm in Loxahatchee recently announced the publication and immediate availability of the 2020 Jumper Rider’s Journal, a dated calendar and goal-setting planner uniquely customized for the needs of show jumping and hunt seat riders.
Riders can maximize lessons, clinics and show preparation with mind mapping, goal setting and action planning tools for an entire year. Weekly, monthly and yearly calendar layouts help dissect goals into daily tasks in one convenient organizer and planner.
The 2020 Jumper Rider’s Journal features 26 exercises to help jumper riders train a more relaxed, supple and adjustable horse. The journal is packed with exercises using ground poles and cavaletti to help supple and strengthen the horse for more balance and adjustability.
Building on the acclaim of her best-selling Dressage Rider’s Journal, Hogan-Poulsen combined her extensive horse training expertise and focused consultations with top riders and trainers Paul O’Shea of the Irish National Show Jumping Team; Marcia Kulak, international three-day event rider and trainer; and Schuyler Riley, an international Grand Prix show jumper, to create a feature-packed journal for hunter/jumper riders.
“Ruth has helped my horses so much over the last three years,” O’Shea said. “The ride-ability and adjustability of all the horses has improved across the board. The suppling and strengthening exercises have made us all better. I use her exercises in the jumper journal daily.”
The 2020 Jumper Rider’s Journal is suitable for professionals and their students to organize and maximize the use of their time. Amateur riders, working students, at-home riders and competitors of every level will benefit from the journal.
Co-authored by USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist and Freestyle Gold Bar dressage rider, coach and trainer Ruth Hogan-Poulsen and former dressage rider and writer Ariana Marshall, the 2020 Dressage Rider’s Journal is now available on Amazon.
