Life.Church Wellington To Host Blood Drive June 14

To ensure a ready and safe blood supply for local hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, Life.Church Wellington is stepping in to help the South Florida community by hosting a blood drive.

In partnership with OneBlood, the blood drive will take place on Sunday, June 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church, located at 3061 State Road 7. All blood donations will be tested for the COVID-19 antibody and donors will have access to their results within 48 to 96 hours.

In order to create an environment that meets government recommendations for safety, donor stations will be thoroughly cleaned between each blood donor. Only individuals donating blood will be allowed in the mobile station, and donors will wait in their car or outside until it is their turn. Temperature screenings will take place upon arrival and masks are required.

Donors of all blood types are needed. Visit www.oneblood.org/donate-now and search by sponsor code “60971”
Or call (888) 9-DONATE to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.

According to OneBlood, one in three people will need blood in their lifetime. Donated blood is typically transfused within two to three days, so the need for blood donations is constant. Each blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives. To learn more, visit www.oneblood.org.
