The Royal Palm Bassmasters held a fishing tournament on Sunday, June 14 on Lake Placid out of the Lake Placid Park boat ramp. COVID-19 precautions were observed during the launch and weigh-in.
First place was won by Paul Schrein and James Wilkinson with two fish weighing 9.55 pounds. Second place was awarded to Mike O’Connor with one fish weighing 7.92 pounds. The team of Kiel Carr and Guy Bartels took third place with five fish weighing 7.68 pounds. The big fish of the tournament was 7.92 pounds, caught by Mike O’Connor.
The Royal Palm Bassmasters meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center, located at 100 Sweet Bay Lane.
