Karate Students Practice Kangeiko

Students from the Genbu-Kai Karate School in Wellington arrived at R.G. Kreusler Park in Palm Beach early one morning to participate in the annual Kangeiko. Kangeiko, loosely translated, means “winter training,” and this type of training is a special test of endurance, which forges character development within the participants. It’s also an excellent way for the students to form new friendships. In Japan, Kangeiko is practiced outside, in the snow, during the winter. After Kangeiko, all gathered at Benny’s on the Beach for breakfast. For more information on classes, call (561) 804-1002 or visit www.floridagenbukai.com.
