Barky Pines Animal Rescue & Sanctuary held its Dog Days of Summer 5K on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Royal Palm Beach Commons Park. Many people brought their dogs, and some even took part in the 5K. There were also vendors, raffles and music. Barky Pines is a nonprofit animal rescue located in Loxahatchee. It is one of the top rescuers of animals from Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control.
