The Emerald Cove Middle School speech and debate club has attended various tournaments this school year through the Palm Beach Middle School Forensics League. The organization provides a wonderful opportunity for each member to hone their skills in research and public speaking and have a better understanding of how an actual congress works. Recent awards include: Hanna Masudi received a first-place trophy and ribbons for fourth and fifth place; Jaidyn Rosenzweig-Shapira received a second-place trophy and ribbons for fourth and sixth place; Valentina Ulrich received a third-place trophy; and Max Floyd received two sixth-place ribbons.
