Four Palm Beach Central High School seniors were recently awarded the TeamWorks Education Foundation Scholarship for $4,000.
These $4,000, one-year scholarships are based on financial need, community service and academic performance requiring a minimum GPA of 3.0. These awards can be used to pay for tuition, books, fees, and college-approved room and board.
The TeamWork Education Foundation is dedicated to providing innovative team support with the involvement of families, teachers and TeamWork trained volunteers. They serve socio-economically challenged students in need, attending public schools in Palm Beach County.
In addition, they provide college scholarships, the growth of student instrumental music programs, a student mentoring program and the support of the nationally acclaimed college-bound teaching and learning program, AVID, in several elementary schools.
Recipients of this scholarship attended a banquet at the Mirasol Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens to receive their awards and were paired with mentors.
