On Wednesday, July 13, the Best Buddies International Leadership Conference held its “I See You” Awards Celebration. At the event, Palm Beach Central High School’s chapter, called “The Bronco Buddies,” was recognized as one of the top three out of more than 140 chapters in the State of Florida.
The award was given for being a champion of inclusion and making the Best Buddies mission a reality in the Wellington community.
Best Buddies’ mission is to create opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The school congratulates former Chapter President Ida Alvarado, officers and members on their award.
