Loop For Literacy Supports PBC Residents Struggling With Illiteracy

The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County invites cyclists, walkers and runners to participate in the 14th annual Loop for Literacy at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach on Saturday, Feb. 10. Funds raised from the family-friendly event will support literacy programs that help children and adults succeed in school and life.

You can participate as an individual or form a team of colleagues, family members or friends. Participants receive a race tech shirt and a book-themed finisher medal. Every child registered receives a book.

Participants can choose from:

  • The Roadside Bike Ride at 7 a.m. This 24-mile ride includes a rest stop at Manatee Lagoon and loops back to Bryant Park. A helmet is required for all cyclists.
  • The 5K USATF Certified Run/Walk at 8 a.m. for runners; 8:05 a.m. for walkers.
  • The Kids 1-Mile Fun Run (12 years and under) at 8:45 a.m.
  • The Kids 100-Yard Dash (7 years and under) at 9 a.m.
