Getting to the polls just became easier. Palm Tran is offering free rides on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, on Palm Tran fixed-route, Palm Tran Connection and Go-Glades services.
To receive a free ride, individuals will need to inform the bus operator or reservationist that they are going to vote or to a polling location. “We want to encourage residents to vote without having to worry about transportation. By offering free transit, we are ensuring that everyone who wants to vote has the opportunity. Voting is important, and we want to make it easier to get to the polls,” Palm Tran Executive Director Ivan Maldonado said.
