Arbor Day Tree Planting At Elison Independent Living

On Friday, Jan. 17, the Elison Garden Club of Lake Worth celebrated Florida Arbor Day by planting two trees, Bahama strongbarks, donated by the Wellington Garden Club. Palm Beach County Commissioner Joel Flores gave the keynote address and presented the club with a special proclamation from the Palm Beach County Commission naming Jan. 17 as Florida Arbor Day for Lake Worth. The trees were planted at Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth, an independent living facility. (Left) Bill Beard of Epiphany Lutheran Church blesses the Bahama strongbark trees.
