There is an exciting club that has begun again at Wellington Elementary School. The Journalism Club, sponsored by VPK/ESE teacher Cathy Eckstein, includes 26 first and second graders who meet every week. They learn how to improve their skills by writing stories, essays, interviews (conducted on the school news program), book reports and newspaper articles. They also play some learning games to incorporate grammar and spelling. The children are excited to share their writing pieces. Shown above are members of the Journalism Club.
