Wellington Elementary School Principal Dr. Maria Vaughan recently participated in the Principal Reads Program by visiting all three VPK classrooms at the school.
The children were so excited and engaged listening to a book about going to kindergarten. By visiting VPK classrooms, Vaughan helped promote early literacy and provided a comforting introduction to the world of kindergarten.
The Principal Reads Program is a collaborative effort between the Palm Beach County School District and the Palm Beach County Early Learning Coalition. The Early Learning Coalition has funded the books for each principal’s reading and connection session.
