Best-selling author, teacher and speaker Reggie McNeal will be the keynote speaker for the Synergoi Church Leaders Conference set for Saturday, Jan. 31 at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
The one-day conference for pastors and church leaders provides opportunities for professional and spiritualĀ development. The event gets under way at 9 a.m. and takes place on the Palm Beach Atlantic University campus in West PalmĀ Beach. Cost of registration is $15 and includes lunch. McNeal has contributed to numerous denominational publications and church leadership journals, includingĀ Leadership and Net Results. His books include Revolution in Leadership (Abingdon Press, 1998), A Work of Heart:Ā Understanding How God Shapes Spiritual Leaders (Jossey-Bass, 2000), The Present Future (Jossey-Bass, 2003),Ā Practicing Greatness (Jossey-Bass, 2006) and Get A Life! (Broadman& Holman, 2007). His book Missional Renaissance:Ā Changing the Scorecard for the Church (Jossey-Bass, 2009) details the three shifts that church leaders must makeĀ to engage the mission movement and offers suggestions for a different scorecard to reflect mission ministry. HisĀ latest book, Get off Your Donkey! Help Somebody and Help Yourself, calls readers to dismount, get messy and live aĀ life that makes a real difference.
McNealās education includes a bachelorās degree from the University of South Carolina and a masterās degree andĀ doctorate, both from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Cathy, have two daughters,Ā Jessica and Susanna, and make their home in Columbia, S.C.
