Students at Wellington Elementary School recently participated in Florida First Responder Appreciation Week, which was observed Jan. 5-9.
WES teachers reminded students about the sacrifices that are made daily by policemen, firemen and paramedics to help keep us all safe.
Students created class posters, wrote cards and letters of appreciation and went on the school news in the morning to read poems for the much appreciated first responders.
