Royal Palm Beach travel basketball provider SAS’s 11th grade team recently won the Wellington March Madness Tournament 62-56 over Beach City Basketball.
Jules Jasmin led the team with 25 points, 12 rebounds and highlight dunks to receive tournament MVP. John Blanchard averaged 14 points and was great running the point, Stephan Jean Louis averaged 15 points while displaying leadership, and Xavier Smith came off the bench to average 12 points. All three were selected to the all-tournament team. Austin Hughs and Shaquille Peters each averaged 10 points.
In the semifinal match against the Wolverines, SAS scored 94 points, which was the most points scored in the tournament. Nicholas James, Xavier Smith and Jahcobi Neath all came off the bench and had a great tournament.
