During the holiday season, students at New Horizons Elementary School learned that acts of kindness involve the act of giving just because it’s the nice thing to do, and the act of receiving with a thank-you. Students participated in donating new toys and clothing through the student council–sponsored Toys for Needy Families toy drive and the guidance-sponsored “Kindness Tree.” A total of 450 toys and books, along with 75 sweatshirts, were distributed to needy area families.
