Palm Beach County Circuit Court Judge Robin Rosenberg denied a request for a hearing this morning on an injunction to prevent the Wellington Canvassing Board from certifying the results of a March 19 recount of the votes from the disputed March 13 election.
The motion for injunction was requested by voters Gaye Scarpara and Kathy Foster to prevent the board from certifying anything but the originally announced results of the March 13 election. Foster served as Wellington’s first mayor.
The canvassing board will meet tonight at 6 p.m. at the Wellington municipal complex. A council meeting is set to follow at 7 p.m.
