The Sidekicks, a young three-piece band from the western communities, will perform Friday, Jan. 25 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the 2013 South Florida Fair.
The Sidekicks lineup features two siblings. Ryan Medina, a multitalented 13-year-old who started performing at the age of 11, is the lead singer and lead guitar player. Melanie Medina, his 17-year-old sister, plays bass. Rounding out the band is 20-year-old drummer Jean-Paul Lemos.
The band performs a variety of music, from classic rock to alternative and punk.
The band is currently developing and recording original songs. Recent performances include at Murphy’s Law at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the Acreage Music & Chili Cookoff, Bru’s Room in Royal Palm Beach, the 2012 South Florida Fair, cancer benefits and private events.
