The Palms West Community Foundation has announced that it is offering scholarships and awards for area high school seniors. The foundation will award 15 scholarships to seniors graduating from select high schools, as well as two awards for students who live in the area that is served by the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce but do not attend school in the area.
One scholarship will be awarded to a senior from each of the following schools: Royal Palm Beach, Wellington, Seminole Ridge, John I. Leonard, Palm Beach Central, Lake Worth, Forest Hill, Park Vista, Suncoast, Glades Central and Pahokee high schools.
There will be two scholarships awarded at-large to students who attend a magnet school or private school, or is home-schooled and plans to attend Palm Beach State College at the Lake Worth campus or enter the medical field.

All applicants must be available for an interview with the Education Committee on March 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce office at 13901 Southern Blvd. in Loxahatchee Groves.
