“Individual Federal Tax Updates” was the subject of the day when enrolled agents Jeffrey Schneider of Royal Palm Beach and Twila Midwood of Rockledge undertook the task of teaching the topic at a recent two-day workshop series.
Each January, the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents hosts a two-day event on both the east and west coast of Florida. This year, with all the uncertainty surrounding the tax code, tax forms and the myriad difficulties associated with this year’s tax filing, Schneider and Midwood stepped up and shared their knowledge of the subject with a large group of “America’s tax experts,” enrolled agents, in Deerfield Beach and Clearwater.
The day was filled with challenging back-and-forth dialogue, discussion about the changes that had just taken effect, and new changes to the tax-filing forms that were also just available. The attendees walked away with a greater knowledge of individual federal tax updates and will now be better able to put to use the new information.
Schneider, president-elect of the FSEA, is the principal of SFS Tax, Accounting & College Planning Services in Royal Palm Beach and Port St Lucie. In addition to business accounting and business tax preparation, individual tax preparation and payroll services, Schneider can help with any IRS representation problem you might have. He is a graduate fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute, the preeminent training source on taxpayer representation in the county.
Enrolled agents are the only federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
