Herman Law Opens New Office In Downtown West Palm

Herman Law, P.A. has announced the opening of its new office at One Clearlake Centre in downtown West Palm Beach (250 Australian Avenue South, Suite 1400). The firm is also available to meet with clients by appointment in Fort Lauderdale (600 SW Fourth Ave.).

Herman Law P.A. is a full-service law firm that practices business litigation, personal injury and criminal defense. The firm’s managing shareholder, Ron Herman of Wellington, began his legal career as an assistant state attorney in Broward County. Later, working as a prosecutor in Palm Beach County, Herman was promoted to the specialized Crime Against Children Unit, where he focused on sex crimes and abuse. As a distinguished prosecutor, Herman rose through the ranks and was the lead attorney in the DUI and domestic violence units. Herman concentrates his practice on criminal law in state and federal courts and in the fields of business litigation and personal injury.

“Many people tell me that they hope they never have to use my criminal defense services, and although I have tried serious murder and violent crime charges, I have also defended generally law-abiding citizens who accidentally find themselves in unfortunate situations, such as a DUI arrest or false accusations of sexual assault,” Herman said. “Having personally handled over 150 jury trials has given me a tremendous advantage in the courtroom and in negotiating plea deals, when appropriate, for my clients.”

That litigation and court room experience also sets Herman apart when working with his business litigation and personal injury clients. Many small business owners do not have large litigation budgets and need legal counsel that understands their business. Herman works hard to offer creative and effective solutions to the legal disputes many businesses face at one time or another, such as contract disputes, non-compete issues, and leasing and landlord-tenant disputes. Herman Law, P.A. offers flexible billing arrangements and seeks to deliver the most favorable results tailored to the individual needs of each client, such as an out-of-court settlement that saves valuable resources.

As a criminal defense attorney, Herman is dedicated to protecting his clients’ constitutional rights and helping them obtain the best possible outcome in the charges against them. As a civil litigator, Herman is highly skilled and effective at handling his clients’ disputes through negotiation and settlement, whenever possible, and litigation, when necessary. In 2010, Herman was recognized as a rising star by Florida Super Lawyers magazine, a distinction awarded to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state. He has also been asked to comment and provide his legal insight on various cases for different news media outlets in the past.

Herman also actively participates in various state and local community activities and organizations. In the past, Herman volunteered to judge youth court programs run by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, spoken at a local school’s career day fair, and assisted with the Palm Beach County Bar Association Foster Children holiday party. Herman has also presented at various seminars, such as the trial practice luncheon put on by the Palm Beach County Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he has spoken on “Cases Involving Sexual Abuses and Child Witnesses.”

Herman is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. With more than 12 years practicing law in Florida, Herman is prepared to handle legal matters with the highest level of competence and professionalism.
