The Seminole Ridge High School wrestling team won the district championship Saturday, Feb. 2 at Palm Beach Gardens High School. The team, coached by Frank Lasagna, had 11 wrestlers advance to the regional meet, held Saturday, Feb. 9 at Park Vista High School. Trace Thome (145 pounds) and Troy Artiles (unlimited) earned first place; Evan Kauffmann (195) earned second place; Francisco Farr (106), Rigoberto Salguero (132), Andrew Belamonti(138), Liam LaPeter (152), Bradley Hargesheimer (160) and Robert LaPeter (170) placed third; and Calvin Crumrine (120) and Nick Keller (182) took fourth place.
