The Wellington Garden Club will host the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs’ District X Spring Meeting on Friday, April 12 at Breakers West Country Club.
The Wellington Garden Club is the recipient of the FFGC 2012 Award of Excellence for a club. Attending the spring meeting will be District X Director Barbara Hadsell, members of the executive committee and representatives from all of the district’s 18 clubs and circles. Incoming District X President Emilie Palmieri will preside.
The featured speaker will be Roger Hammer, award-winning professional naturalist, author, botanist and photographer. Hammer has written several books, including Florida Keys Wildflowers and Everglades Wildflowers, which will available at the meeting. In the afternoon, attendees will be treated to floral designer Elaine Parisi’s creative flower designs. Parisi is a master flower show judge.
