Longhorn Steakhouse on Okeechobee Blvd. near Jog Road held a book drive Tuesday, April 2 to promote Children’s Book Day. Patrons who purchased one adult meal and brought a book received a free kid’s meal. Staff held a raffle that earned $100, which was used to buy more books. Longhorn collected nearly 400 books and donated them Wednesday, April 3 to the Wellington Boys & Girls Club for their new facility opening later this month.
